Dignity
We support people as individuals with agency, rights and aspirations — never as fundraising symbols.
From the Netherlands to Nepal
Nepal Tara Foundation brings people together to expand access to education, essential needs, clean water, empowerment and emergency support in Nepal — with dignity, transparency and care at the centre.
Tara means “star”. For us, it represents guidance, hope and the possibility of a brighter future. Nepal Tara Foundation is being built as a bridge between generous people in the Netherlands and children, families, women and communities in Nepal who can benefit from practical support. We believe small contributions can matter when they are directed carefully, respectfully and transparently.
Tara
Star • Hope • Guidance
We support people as individuals with agency, rights and aspirations — never as fundraising symbols.
We aim to make decisions, project information and the use of donations understandable and accountable.
We prefer careful verification and realistic commitments over promises we cannot substantiate.
Support should respond to real needs and strengthen local participation rather than impose outside assumptions.
Education, skills and access to essentials can create room for people to shape their own future.
Where possible, projects should strengthen resilience, independence and long-term community capacity.
Learning materials, school access and education-related support for children facing disadvantage.
Practical support that helps children without adequate family care access essentials and education.
Education, skills and pathways that can strengthen independence and economic participation.
Community-led support for safer access to clean drinking water in rural areas.
Targeted help for families and individuals experiencing severe economic hardship.
Support for urgent health-related needs, sanitation, food, clothing and shelter when appropriate.
Rapid, needs-based assistance during floods, earthquakes, landslides, fires and other crises.
Practical projects that strengthen opportunity, resilience and local capacity.
Verified impact figures will appear here as projects are completed and documented.
Depending on verified needs, donations may contribute to school materials, education expenses, safe drinking water, food packages, hygiene products, emergency relief, women’s development programmes and community initiatives.
We will report on approved projects and avoid implying impact that has not been verified.
